THE Bridgwater Classic and Vintage Club donated more than £4,000 to charity at their club meeting on Sunday (December 12).
They gave £3,000 to the Somerset and Dorset Air Ambulance, £1,000 to St Margaret's Hospice and £750 to the Bridgwater Hospital League of Friends.
The money was raised by members at the two shows this year - the main classic and vintage show in August, and the beachside show in September.
"This was a record amount for the club," said a spokesperson for Bridgwater Classic and Vintage Club.
"Were all delighted at their best ever amounts raised despite last year's Covid restrictions.
"Next year, we are planning two shows: Lazy Friday at East Huntspill on June 3 and the main show at the Morganians Rugby Club on August 13 and 14 2022.
"The club is a non-profit making organisation so all proceeds, after costs, are donated to local charities."
