BRIDGWATER United Women return to National League action this Sunday, February 6, as they take on Gillingham at home.
Fourth placed Gillingham are coming in to the match on the back of a four game unbeaten run which has helped them rise up the table.
However Bridgwater too will be on a high after a spirited performance in their Women's FA Cup match against Manchester United last week.
The home crowd at Fairfax Park last week highlighted the interest in Women's football in the South West, and the club is hoping to see more and more repeat fans.
These two sides last met back in September 2021, where they played out a 0-0 draw in the league.
A win for Bridgwater would see them leapfrog Gillingham into fourth spot in the table and with two or three games in hand on a number of teams above them, it could spearhead the remainder of the season for the Robins.
Bridgwater can still get promoted, but it means winning all of the remainder of their games.
If the people of Bridgwater are looking for a team to support going into the second half of the season, then these women would most definitely appreciate it.
