POLICE discovered this knife during an operation on an estate in Bridgwater.
Local neighbourhood officers have been carrying out patrols on The Hamp estate.
They conducted a series of knife sweeps to reassure the community and to keep people safe.
And officers recovered the foot-long knife, which has now been safely disposed of.
A spokesperson for Sedgemoor and Hinkley Point Neighbourhood Policing team said: "Local neighbourhood officers are continuing patrols on The Hamp estate and have been conducting a series of knife sweeps for reassurance and to keep everyone safe.
"Here is a knife that was recovered by officers which has been safely disposed of and is now off the estate.
"If you see officers around, come and say hello."
