FIRE control received a call from a member of the public regarding a car fire in Bridgwater.
One fire engine from Bridgwater attended the incident which took place around 11.39am today, Saturday March 12 on Power Lane.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “On arrival crews confirmed that the vehicle was well alight, crews got to work with two breathing apparatus and two jets to extinguish the fire then used a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots.
“The vehicle is 100 per cent damaged by fire and a nearby street lamp is 10 per cent damaged by fire.”
The fire is believed to have been accidental, the spokesperson also said.
