A SKATE and scooter festival took place in memory of Dan 'Viv' Mee on Sunday (March 20).
Wave Games, The Purplespoon Cafe and Love U Lots Promotions hosted the event at Bridgwater YMCA Skate Park from noon until 4pm.
The day included: demonstrations from professional freestylers; a mural painting workshop; beatbox workshop; family arts and crafts; circus workshop; mobile disco; merchandise stalls; food stalls and taster YMCA activity sessions.
A spokesperson for The Purplespoon Cafe said: "A huge thank you to everyone who came along yesterday to support this event, part funded by the Bridgwater Town Council Youth Forum.
"An amazing turn out - far more than we expected so we are all thrilled to bits how it went.
"Remembering a great lad, his memorial bench was also unveiled which you will see soon in it’s pride of place alongside the canal.
"I think we achieved everything we set out to do and for a first event, we are all pretty damn pleased with how it went.
"We also raised a little bit of money via our gofundme page and also from a few cash donations on the day so we will have a count and let you all know what we do with it."
