THE Met Office has issued a yellow wind warning that will be in place until 6pm today (April 7).
The weather warning was issued this morning and the Met Office said “gusty winds” are “expected through Thursday [today] with some disruption in places”.
The warning was initially issued for the East of England.
A Met Office map, however, also shows how the high winds are approaching the South West.
An update on the Met Office website also said:
What to expect:
- Some delays to road, rail and air transport are likely
- Probably some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer
- Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely.
