A MOTORIST was taken to hospital following a road traffic collision last night (Tuesday, April 12).
Police, fire and ambulance attended the incident in Westonzoyland shortly after 8pm.
The male driver was trapped in his vehicle.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Crews stabilised the vehicle and got to work with extrication equipment.
"Police and ambulance also attended the scene.
"Crews used e-draulic equipment to remove the door and roof of the vehicle, and the male casualty was removed onto a spinal board and transferred to hospital.
"Duty of care was left with the police."
