SCORES of people turned out for the Burnham-on-Sea RNLI open day over Easter.
The success of the event on Sunday (April 17) was virtually guaranteed by the amazing sunshine, and the ensuing holiday atmosphere.
Visitors to the lifeboat station talked with crew, examined the lifeboats at close quarters and bought souvenirs from the pop-up lifeboat shop gazebos.
Additional attractions included the water safety advisers table, beach lifeguards, tombolas and a well-stocked raffle.
Children could be greeted by our the Stormy Stan mascot, while musical entertainment was supplied by popular sea shanty group, the Barnacle Buoys, who performed several sets during the day.
Open day co-organiser station crew member Paul Preston said: "With the weather on our side bringing the public out and a very successful fundraising event, I would like to thank all the crew and volunteers for their efforts to deliver a fantastic open day with special thanks to the Barnacle Buoys who gave up their time to deliver three fantastic sets."
