If you would like a new four-legged friend in your life, perhaps Rocko, Gus or Fenton could make the perfect pal.
These three dogs, currently being cared for by Happy Landings Animal Rescue, couldn’t be more different but are all seeking a forever home.
And if you aren’t in a position to adopt a pet right now, you can still support the centre’s work by making a donation.

Rocko
Breed: German Shepherd
Age: 9 months
Rocko has had a few homes in his short life, so is in need of committed and experienced owners who understand what German Shepherds need.
He has been socialised well with people so far and is friendly with dogs he meets. He does need some work around walking on the lead and his over excited puppy mouthing.
A lovely boy in good health, Rocko could live with another dog pending introductions but needs an adult home, although teenagers may be considered, due to the mouthing.
For more information on Rocko, visit the Happy Landings website.
Gus
Breed: French Bulldog x Staffy
Age: 6 years
Gus is a friendly, energetic individual looking for his forever home.
He loves his walks but does pull a lot on the lead. Outside he is social with some dogs but can react to overly boisterous dogs who don’t give him space.
Gus is an affectionate boy and is happy to travel to new places.
He needs to be the only dog in the house as he is not used to living with others and would suit a home with adults and older teenage children. He cannot be rehomed with cats.
For more information on Gus, visit the Happy Landings website.
Fenton
Breed: Lurcher
Age: 1 year, 7 months
Fenton is a friendly and intelligent boy who is thought to be a greyhound/collie cross.
Fenton has lived with other dogs and is social, however, meeting dogs on a lead is still new to him, so he can react with barking.
The staff at the centre are helping him with this by parallel walks with calm dogs and he is getting used to it gradually.
His new owners will need to build up the length of time he is left alone slowly as he is not used to being left on his own for long.
Fenton could live with children aged 12 and above and could live with another dog but is not suitable for a home with cats.
