A MAP shows the level of one of the UK’s most invasive plants in Bridgwater.
Japanese knotweed is a highly invasive perennial weed that can cause severe damage to both residential and commercial property, the Environet website says.
Research indicates that approximately five per cent of homes in the UK are affected by Japanese Knotweed, the website also says.
Japanese Knotweed can damage properties and also devalue them.

The map below from the same website shows the biggest hotspot in and around Bridgwater.
In Bridgwater, there are eight occurrences within 4km.
