PEOPLE using a park in Bridgwater have been concerned at rising levels of "anti-social behaviour, low-level criminal damage and suspicious activity".
Following a spike in reports of incidents in Mansfield Park, officers from the Sedgemoor and Hinkley Point Neighbourhood Policing team have stepped up action in an attempt to eradicate the problems.
Among actions being taken by the police are regular patrols and engagement with the public.
A spokesperson for the local police team said: "There has been an increase in reports to the police for Mansfield Park in Bridgwater.
"The reports we have received are for anti-social behaviour, low level criminal damage and suspicious activity.
"As a neighbourhood team we are working together and alongside partner agencies to tackle the issue.
"We want to reassure the community that positive action is has been taken and will continue.
"This has included PCSOs Danni and Hannah carrying out high-visibility patrols on a regular basis and engaging with members of the public."
