A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital following the one-vehicle collision on the A39 at East Quantoxhead this morning.
Police have just issued the following statement (at 10.15am): “The A39 at East Quantoxhead is currently closed while emergency services attend a single vehicle RTC involving a motorcyclist which was reported at 5.35am today (Friday 6 May).
“The motorcyclist has been taken to hospital.
“Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call 101 quoting log 114 of 6 May.”
COMMUTERS are being warned of a road closure in the West Somerset area this morning (Friday, May 6).
Travel Somerset says the A39 at East Quantoxhead is closed in both directions.
The closure "due to an accident" is between The Windmill Hill Inn and High Street.
