AT the weekend three generations from one family were competing at the Area 12 Riding Club Qualifier at Pontispool Equestrian Centre.
On Sunday, Louis Stokes, 16, from Chilton Trinity Bridgwater was riding his own RMS Mount Blanc with the combination having spent the last 12 months getting to know each other's ability and spending many training hours over the winter months with Quantock Riding Club.
Louis was competing in the 90cm Junior Class representing Quantock Riding Club and was placed first on the day as an individual, securing automatic qualification to the National Finals later in August 2022 at Swalcliffe Park in Banbury.
Louis' mum, Becki Stokes was riding her own Riffeylands Romeo, who was brought over from Ireland 6 years ago as a short term project, but has remained at her stables ever since.
Becki was competing as part of a 4 member team in the 100cm class, with the team winning the class and securing automatic qualification to the National Finals.
Denise West, Becki's Mum & Louis' Grandma, riding Emo was competing in the 80cm Senior Class as a team member, and they also gained a team first, securing that automatic qualification to the National Championships.
