DESPITE the bad weather, many residents headed to the Bridgwater Food and Drink Festival on Saturday (June 18).
As well as a wealth of stalls, visitors enjoyed entertainment from local groups an clubs at the Cornhill.
Organiser, Paul Russell, said: "Now, it would not be the Bridgwater Food and Drink Festival without some iffy weather.
"Yes, we were disappointed with the dark clouds and showers but looking back on the day, it could have been worse for the festival.
"The support from the general public with such poor weather was amazing. Stallholders took a steady trade throughout and in the end it was a good day trading.
"Luckily for the 10ft polar bear the weather was a bit cooler and he was very happy not to be melting on the day.
"We would once again like to thank the general public, stallholders, sponsors and anyone else who has helped to make the festival what it is."
Festival organisers are still looking for entertainers for the August event. If you are interested, message the Bridgwater Food & Drink Festival Facebook page for more details.
