PEOPLE in Bridgwater are being asked to help a secondary school win a £15,000 canopy.
Haygrove School has been entered into a competition to win the fully installed fabric canopy.
It needs to attract the highest number of votes before the contest closes on Friday, July 15.
A school spokesperson said: "The welfare of students at Haygrove is of the highest importance.
"The use of outdoor space as areas for teaching and learning, as well as being used during breaks and lunchtimes for socialising, is known to have positive effects on health and wellbeing.
"A long period of construction work has recently finished on the school site and we have some fantastic new facilities, but the work has not included the development of outdoor social spaces for students to use.
"We have some ambitious plans in place to construct outdoor spaces for teaching and socialising, a new canopy would be a fantastic addition to complement our plans and help us to achieve our ambitions.”
