ON Monday, June 4, week local ventilation specialists Envirovent teamed up with their player sponsor, Somerset Cricket captain Tom Abell to deliver new cricket equipment to St Mary's School, Bridgwater.
Tom took a 2 hour session for years 4-6 for the schools cricket club, including batting, bowling and catching games as well as testing out the new equipment.
After the event, Tom Abell said: "Such a great afternoon at St Mary’s School! Was amazing seeing the kids have so much fun and genuinely enjoying playing the game."
St Mary's cricket club run by teacher Tom Green was thrilled when Luke Robinson from Envirovent got in contact to offer to replace the ageing cricket equipment.
He said: "It really was a fantastic afternoon and we are so grateful for Envirovent's generous donation, I cant wait to start using it and getting more children involved in cricket.
"Tom Abell definitely inspired our children today, it will be one of those days at school they will always remember."
Luke Robinson took over the local Envirovent Franchise a couple months ago.
He said: "We are proud to be able to donate this cricket equipment to St Mary's and give back to our local community, helping and inspiring the children to pick up the bat and have fun."
