MICHAEL Sandiford sprinted home to win the Pawlett Plod 10k race more than 90 seconds ahead of the next finisher.
He got home in a time of 36 minutes 30 second, with runner up Adam Fieldhouse clocking a time of 30.07, ahead of third-placed James Gadd on 38.28.
A total of 95 people completed the multi-terrain race last Wednesday evening (July 21), which was organised by Burnham-on-Sea Harriers.
The run returned after a break over the past two years due to the pandemic.
Starting and finishing at Pawlett Pavilion, in Gaunts Road, it featured a downhill start, a scenic loop along the banks of the River Parrett and an uphill finish.
There was also be a post race barbecue and a 5k fun run.
