AS part of their final pre-season preparations the Bridgwater United Women squad headed to the South Coast on Sunday for training and team bonding.
The team first trained at the innovative and unique FTY Lab in Bournemouth. FTY is a hi-tech football training centre using the latest in training technology to enhance a player’s development.
During the session the squad were visited by a special guest in the shape of former top flight footballer and manager, Harry Redknapp.
Redknapp visited the training centre to watch the girls train, pass on his advice and wish the squad well for the upcoming season which starts on Sunday (August 21) away to Oxford United FC.
CEO, Adam Murry said: “The whole squad have worked tirelessly for over 2 months, and I am really proud of the group we are assembling.
"From our senior players leading by example to our young academy graduates thriving in our environment makes it a really exciting time to be a part of Bridgwater United and we are all really looking forward to going to battle on Sunday in the start of our league campaign.”
