A TRADITIONAL celebration of the harvest returned to Wedmore for the first time in two years with a “blinder” of a procession and a successful luncheon.
The Wedmore Harvest Home launched on Saturday, August 20 with the coronation of the Harvest Home King and Queen and a procession through the village.
That was followed by a spectacular luncheon with locally-grown produce in a marquee at Wedmore Recreation Ground.
Evening entertainment followed from 7:30pm.
The Laylines, a ‘not quite folk’ band from Weston-super-Mare, headlined. They were supported by local party band One For The Road and DJ Towers.
A Wedmore Harvest Home spokesperson said: “What a day! Thank you everyone for supporting our 2022 Harvest Home.
“The procession was a blinder! Thanks to all who entered.
“Now, we need to recover and finish the last few bits of tidying-up before we start thinking about what we do next.
“Wedmore, you are brilliant! Long live Wedmore Harvest Home!”
