THERE were plenty of impressive entries into the Stogursey Flower Show on Sunday, despite the summer's challenging growing conditions.
The flower show hosted members of the village community on September 4 between 2pm and 4pm after exhibitors started setting up from 8am.
Committee member Fiona Johnson said: “The Stogursey Flower Show was opened by our village dance troupe The Morris Travellers, who performed for the crowds of people who came to support our first show since 2018.
“Despite the difficult growing conditions this summer, the vegetable section had some amazing exhibits entered by local green-fingered gardeners.
“The baking and handicraft sections were also full of delicious and creative entries. The afternoon was a great success made possible by a supportive community.”
Upcoming events in Stogursey include a Phantom of the Opera film night (September 8), the fortnightly Forget-Me-Not Café (September 14), and a visit from the mobile library (September 22).
