A MOTORIST recorded speeding at 122mph on the M5 in Somerset has been banned from getting behind the wheel for a year.
Matthew Clive Higgins, 37, of Elm Close Wells, pleaded guilty to driving at 52mph above the speed limit on the motorway between Junctions 23 and 22 on May 15 this year.
He was fined £268 with a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs when he appeared at Taunton Magistrates' Court.
