HOUSING needs in Nether Stowey will be discussed at a public consultation organised by Sedgemoor District Council and managing agent Homes in Sedgemoor.
Residents have been invited to St Mary's Church Centre on Wednesday, October 12 between 3pm and 6.30pm.
They will also be able to put their names on the affordable housing register on the day.
A spokesperson said: “With house prices and private rents increasing and affordable homes hard to find, is the village of Nether Stowey becoming too expensive for families to live in?
”As house prices and rental rates increase beyond the reach of some people’s incomes, especially in desirable rural areas, there are concerns local people might have to leave the village, moving away from their families and support networks.
”Anyone who needs to live in the parish of Nether Stowey but is finding it hard to find somewhere they can afford is invited to come along to the event to help the event organisers find out about housing needs in the area from those most affected.”
