SEDGEMOOR District Council has now installed eight electrical vehicle charging points at Northgate Yard.
The charging points are located in the 115-space car park and they have been registered on the ZapMap.
In line with Sedgemoor’s climate change ambitions, there is also a new water refill point.
The water refill point will therefore reduce peoples’ reliance on single-use plastic, in line the council’s resolution to reducing waste where possible.
Finally, a Changing Places facility has been installed in the Scott’s Cinema building.
People with profound and multiple learning disabilities or with physical disabilities such as spinal injuries, muscular dystrophy and multiple sclerosis often need extra equipment and space to allow them to use the toilets safely and comfortably.
A spokesperson from the council said: "These needs are met by Changing Places toilets.
"Changing Places Toilets enable anyone, regardless of their disability, to go to the shops, attend hospital appointments, enjoy community life, socialise and travel.
"You do not have to be a customer of the cinema to use the Changing Places toilet."
