Enmore Park Golf Club hosted the Ladies 9 Hole Bowmaker and Autumn Fayre on Wednesday.
The winners of the 9 Hole Bowmaker were Jane Driver, who plays off a handicap of 9, Heather Neale (8), Rachel Johnson (7) and Henriette Hayden (11) with 41, with Pat Rodgers (7), Annie Bowden (8), Irene Dickinson (9) and Beverley Broad (4) second with 36.
Third place with 35 went to Mo Veale (10), Tracey Clapp (8) and Ruth MacLennan (11) but one after count back edged them in front of Anita Long (14), Claire Down (26), Karen Dicks (19) and Suzanne Bromme (21).
Following the golf a very successful Autumn Fayre was held in the clubhouse with stalls ranging from homemade cakes and preserves to the fine crafts and greeting cards made by some of the club’s very talented lady members.
Also supporting the event were Echo Candles, Boo Botanicals, Lucy Driver and Fudge That.
There was a raffle alongside ‘Guess the Weight of the Butternut Squash’ kindly donated by Claire Down. The total proceeds of approximately £600 will go towards the Lady Captains’ Charity, Papyrus.
Sunday’s Turkey Trot attracted 51 entries and at the end of the competition there was a four way tie on 37 points- an unusual occurrence!
However after count back it was David Ballantine (10) who was the winner, Malcolm Chrystall (12) was second, in third place was Kevin Burge (17) while fourth place went to Jonathan Slattery (15).
