A NEW McDonald's store in Bridgwater is set to open its doors at the end of this month.
The new McDonald's store is located on Bristol Road at Dunball roundabout and will open on November 30, 2022.
The store will also be a two-storey McDonald's with ample parking and electric car charging bays.
Franchise owner, Tim Lamb, told the Bridgwater Mercury that the team are excited to get going.
“Me and my team are all really excited to be opening our brand-new double story McDonald’s restaurant in Bridgwater on Wednesday, November 30th," the local McDonald's franchisee said.
"I’m delighted to be investing in the town and local community, and I look forward to welcoming customers into the restaurant in a few weeks.”
The fast-food giant won planning permission in 2018 to build a new restaurant on land near the Dunball Roundabout on A38 Bristol Road, Bridgwater.
The new drive-thru restaurant is just a short drive from junction 23 of the M5 and will contain 46 parking spaces, two disabled spaces, two electric car charging bays and at least two short-term waiting bays. It will also create 'at least 65 jobs.'
For local people to the area looking for work, the business has advertised a number of roles at the store on Indeed.
The roles range from staff member to maintenance person.
Bridgwater currently has one McDonald's restaurant based at the Bridgwater Retail Park on The Clink.
