A CHARITY ball held in memory of a Bridgwater son and brother has raised over £4,500 for a mental health charity working across Somerset.
The sold-out event was organised by by Love U Lots Promotions, an organisation founded in memory of Dan ‘Viv’ Mee, who died in Alicante, Spain, in 2019.
The ball was held at the Canalside Conference Centre on Saturday, October 15.
Guests were asked to “dress to impress” at the ball, which featured entertainment from comedy ventriloquist Jimmy Tamley and The Haus Band, a showband specialising in weddings, corporate events and festivals.
Tickets cost £60 and included a four-course meal and prosecco on arrival. There was also a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses.
A Love U Lots spokesperson said: “Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who took part, helped out, donated, supported and attended the Love U Lots Promotions 2022 Charity Ball.
“Together, we raised an incredible £4,574 for Mind in Somerset!”
After the event, The Haus Band wrote on Facebook: “To the founders of Love U Lots, thank you so much again for having us! We cannot wait to work with you again very soon.”
