WITH the festive season just around the corner Enmore Park Golf Club hosted a Gents Turkey Trot pairs competition on Saturday at the end of which the winners were Alistair Wyatt who plays off a handicap of 20 and Lee Lewis (9) with 43 points.
Graham Croucher (14) and Neil Wicks (16) were second with 42 points but two pairs returned with 41. However after count back third place went to Campbell Davis (18) and Darren Willes (14) just edging ahead of Ben Williams (9) and Russell Williams (4). Fifth place went to Chris Willsteed (9) and Dave Robbins (12) with 40 points.
Last weekend’s Club Stableford was won by Ben Williams (10) with 40 points, one ahead of second placed Adrian Tew (8) with 39.
Two players returned on 38 points, meaning that count back had to come into play after which it was Peter Stowell (22) who was third while Kevin Gratton (19) was fourth.
Meanwhile the clubhouse at Enmore Park is open between 9.30am and 6.30pm in the winter to non members and is an ideal venue to meet friends or business colleagues for coffee, light lunch or afternoon tea, and enjoy fine views of the course from the bar and patio area which overlook the 18th green. Enmore is family friendly and everyone is welcome every day of the week.
