Two play areas in Bridgwater and Burnham-on-Sea are undergoing improvement works costing a total of £65,000.
Sorrel Drive play area, in Wilstock near Bridgwater, will have its improvement works start in late November.
The works will cost £50,000 and will involve the installation of a wide variety of new equipment, confirmed following a public consultation exercise.
Children will be able to enjoy a new 20-metre zip wire, a rotating roundabout, a spring long-board, an overhead rotator, a ball chute and a challenging climbing frame including hanging hoops, a slanted spinner and a bannister slide.
The Winchester Road play area in Burnham-on-Sea will begin its transformation mid-December.
£15,000 will be spent on removing and replacing an ageing timber toddler climbing frame and two toddler swings, which are no longer viable to maintain.
A brand-new assault course trim trail and a pair of toddler swings will be installed.
