Enmore Park Golf Club held their Champions Dinner and Presentation Evening last weekend an event that gave a chance to reflect and celebrate the successes of 2022.
The evening started with those attended enjoying an amazing two course dinner that was provided by clubhouse team, that gave the 108 present ample opportunity to meet and engage with fellow members.
Once the meal was over the Chair of Competitions and compere for the evening, Barry Forster started to make the awards.
In previous years competition winners have been presented with either a Whiskey tumbler or a wine glass, engraved with the club logo, however feedback across all sections suggested it was time fora change so this year’s recipients were each presented with a commemorative bag tag bearing their name and the title of the competition they won in 2022.
Feedback from the event was outstanding, with everyone who was lucky enough to have been in attendance having a fantastic evening.
In addition to the competition winners awards the ‘Charlie Carr - Club Person of the Year Award’ was presented.
This award is presented to the person, nominated by various committees, who has made a valuable contribution to club activities off the course (not solely based on golfing achievement) and is cheerful, willing, and adaptable. This year's winner Lynn Slocombe showed all of these attributes in abundance and, having been a member for over 50 years, continues to be involved in everything Enmore Park.
Many congratulations to the 2022, Charlie Carr – Club Person of the Year- Lynn Slocombe, a richly deserved winner.
