A CAR driver died in a road traffic collision near Hinkley Point C yesterday (Monday, December 5).
The man, who was in his 40s, died at the scene of the incident at Hinkley Point Road, near Bridgwater.
His car was in collision with a minibus at around 7pm.
The driver of the minibus, a man also in his 40s, was taken to hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening or life changing.
Four passengers sustained minor injuries.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dashcam footage to contact the police by calling 101, giving the call handler the reference number 5222291622 or complete the online form on the force's website.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: "Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.
"The family are being supported by a specially trained family liaison officer."
