STUDENTS at Chilton Trinity starred in their big show of the year Matilda in a wonderful extravaganza of talent and performance.
The Bridgwater students told the Roald Dahl story in a musical which brought out their talents of dance, singing, performing, speaking, sound, lighting, marketing and more.
Their story told of a special girl whose parents do not see the talent she has as well as being confined in school by a cruel head teacher Miss Trunchbull.
The only one who can see how special Matilda is, is her teacher Miss Honey and with the love and support of her Matilda finds her true power.
Headteacher Tom Newell said: “This was a truly incredible performance by the students of Matilda.
“After two days of intense rehearsal the students did themselves proud by performing to the highest standard and stepping it up another level for the performance.
“I was immensely proud of everyone involved with the show. It was a whole team effort from students and staff and I cannot thank them all enough for the hard work they put into it.
“Also, a special mention and thanks to Somerstage who helped us out with the fabulous staging.”
