BRIDGWATER Pantomime Society is putting the finishing touches on its 2023 show, Puss in Boots, with just over a week until opening night.

The company is excited to return to the stage with Bridgwater's official pantomime after a two-year hiatus due to Covid, with ticket sales “going well”.

Puss is Boots is running at Bridgwater Town Hall between Sunday, January 22 and Saturday, January 28.

There will not be a performance on the Wednesday (January 25).

A group spokesperson said: “The society last performed Puss in Boots in 2004 and are pleased to bring it back to the stage after a 19-year gap.

“Don’t miss out on this purr-fect production and support your local pantomime.”

The show has been written by Keith and Margaret Robinson, who are the show's producers and directors alongside Richard J. Porter.

The show's choreography is in the capable hands of Fiona Wheeler.

Margaret Robinson is in charge of chorus and company singing, with musical direction under the supervision of the society's musical director, Jamie Moretti.

Neil Priddle is the society's stage manager, assisted by Darren Baker and their team.

Andrew Scammell is the lighting director and Nick Bell is in charge of sound reinforcement.

There has been a cast change that will see Kim Priddle playing the principal boy, Tom, who becomes the Marquis of Carabas.

Tickets have been kept at 2017 prices: £11 for adults and £8 for children.

There will be a senior citizens' concession night on Thursday, January 26, when tickets will be available for £8.

Family tickets for two adults and two children can be purchased for £30 for the evening performances on Monday 23 and Saturday 28 January.

Group bookings are available with concessions. Contact the box office for information.
