WITH a blue sky and a chill in the air, 58 Enmore Park Ladies competed in the newly elected Lady Captain’s 9-hole Drive In.
Many gathered to witness Jo Wyatt strike the first ball off the tee in the first of many competitions scheduled for her Captaincy year.
After finishing the 9 holes, every lady was offered a complimentary tipple and a sweet treat as a thank you from Jo for supporting her at the start of her captaincy.
In Jo’s team were Tina Morgan Vice-Captain, Heather Saxton President and Jackie Woodman, last year’s captain.
The winners of the competition were Suzanne Bromme & Claire Down with an excellent 29 points.
Three pairs returned with 26 points but following countback it was Miriam Batchelor and Nanette Moore who were second, Nicola Toller and Shanni Whisler were third while Karen Dicks and Anita Leng came fourth.
Sunday’s Pro Shop 4BBB Stableford was a high scoring affair and won by Adam Wright who plays off a handicap of 4 and Jonathon Richardson (11) with 44 points, one ahead of Leslie Dewdney (13) and Steve Jones (20) , while Jack Dray (1) and Ryan Brewer (-1) were third with 42.
