E18HTEEN Distillery, from Bridgwater, has won a gold award for best food and drink at the Royal Bath and West Show 2023.

The distillery specialises in an unusual route of making a gin with a very simple selection of botanicals, made exceptional by tweaking all the other elements that are usually forgotten when it comes to distilling a fine spirit.

A spokesperson for E18hteen Distillery said: "(For the) second year running, we achieved gold for best food and drink stand at the Royal Bath & West show, thank you all for coming to see us at the show.

"We are delighted to win this award two years running along with the three golds and three silvers we won at taste of the west this week and our London dry also was awarded a highly commended award scoring very highly for The Gin Guide awards a few weeks ago.

"We are a small family-run business and winning these awards and seeing the people who love our many products at the shows such as Bath and West makes it all worth it, we never expected to win gold again this year.

"Our eldest son has won golds with the Agave spirits and the Raw Cask Honey Whiskey. He has designed and produced them during his college, and he is still only 18."
