CREWS from Bridgwater were called to a Volvo on fire on the A39 yesterday (June 22) at 12.34pm.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We received multiple calls from the public around 12:34pm today, reporting a vehicle on fire on the A39, Stogursey Lane.
"Crews confirmed on attendance that one Volvo was well alight and had also spread to 5m worth of hedgerow and a small area of field.
"One fire engine attended and extinguished the fire using 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, and 1 thermal imaging camera.
"The incident was then left with the police, who remained in attendance for traffic management until the vehicle has been recovered."
