NANDO'S first-ever restaurant in Bridgwater is set to open and serve customers today.
The new store will be located in Northgate Yard, Bridgwater’s entertainment and dining hub.
The iconic chicken chain will be opening its doors and firing up the grills for fans from 11:30am.
The new restaurant will seat up to 89 indoors and eight outside for those that enjoy their PERi-PERi alfresco.
Flavour fans will also be able to order delivery and collect options and via Deliveroo to enjoy their food at home.
From artwork to lighting design and furnishings, Nando’s strives to continually work with South African-based designers across all aspects of its restaurants to celebrate its Southern African heritage.
At Nando’s Bridgwater, this sees Portuguese light pendants, patterns created by South African artists and 3D and terracotta decorative tiles all feature.
Restaurant manager Simon Benham said: “We’re looking forward to opening the doors to our stunning new Northgate Yard restaurant, creating 30 new jobs in the area and bringing Nando’s famous PERi-PERi to Bridgwater.”
A spokesperson for Somerset Council said: “We are delighted to see Nando’s open in Northgate Yard, giving visitors to Scott Cinemas and All Stars Bowling a perfect spot to feast with the family.
“There’s huge excitement about Nando’s coming to Bridgwater and we’re looking forward to seeing both locals and visitors come to eat here.”
Nando’s Bridgwater will be open from Wednesday, June 28, 11:30am-10pm, seven days a week.
