A LOCAL woman who has been diagnosed with lung cancer will be braving the shave this weekend to raise money for charity.
Much-loved mother and grandmother Beverley Mallaghan was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2022. She has been undergoing chemotherapy for a year.
This wasn't working, and the cancer has now grown larger. Beverley is now on a new chemotherapy, which is likely to make her lose her hair.
To turn something scary into something positive, Beverley will be taking part in a brave the shave event on Saturday, August 26 at the Admirals Landing.
Those wishing to attend can do so from 5pm. To donate, click HERE. So far, over £950 has been raised - over double Beverley's original target.
The Bridgwater Mercury will post an update on how much money was raised in total after the event.
