NORTH Petherton Town Council is looking for enthusiastic locals to fill two vacant spots on the board.
The ideal candidates will be engaged members of the community who want to make a long-lasting change, and have innovative ideas to make a difference.
A spokesperson for North Petherton Town Council said: "The work the town council does is exciting and rewarding.
"An integral part of a councillor's role is engaging with local people, groups, and businesses to determine their needs, making decisions on the services and projects the council should take forward, and getting involved to ensure the services provided meet the community's needs."
The mayor, Councillor Phillip Spencer said: “We need forward thinking people who have good local knowledge and an understanding of the local community.
"Councillors have to be able to listen, understand many differing points of view and then work with colleagues to make decisions and agree actions.”
More information about the work of the town council and how to become a councillor can be found on the town council website.
