Seven young rugby players from Bridgwater & Albion Rugby Club travelled to Hartpury College at the weekend to represent Somerset Under 18s in a match against their Cornwall counterparts.
Trystan Hudson, Will Taylor, Harvey Fisher, Rowan Bird, George Francis, Reuben Lloyd and Bryn Reeves, who have all come up through the youth system, all play regularly for Bridgwater & Albion Colts.
One of the Somerset selectors who was present at the match said afterwards: “Although they were playing against a stronger faster Cornwall side, there was some good stuff from Somerset when they had ball in hand and away from the breakdown.”
Well done to the six Bridgy Boys who took their chance with both hands to represent Somerset against Cornwall.
The Bridgwater players who were involved in the match against Hartpury all put in a strong performance and did their club proud.
It highlights the strength in the youth set up at Bridgwater & Albion RFC.
