ELEVEN more dates for a new monthly market to showcase local makers and traders near Bridgwater have been confirmed following the success of its first instalment.
The first Produce and Makers Market was held at North Petherton Community Centre on Sunday, January 21, and founder Sam Chaplin said it was a 'roaring success'.
"The wide range of stallholders saw a steady flow of customers throughout the whole four hours, 12-4pm," she said.
"Fruit and veg from Jane’s Veg Shack, sausages and meat from The Wife and I Sausage Co sold out within the first two hours, Cheese from Gouda Karma and cakes from both Sally’s Bakes and Love at first Bite also flew out the door.
"Alongside the produce, a vast range of crafts and makes meant there was something there for everyone, from bespoke chopping boards and ceramics to wax melts and dog treats."
The second edition of the market will open its doors at 12pm on Sunday, February 18, and will feature the addition of honey, preserves, and plants.
