THE National Trust is seeking volunteers to help look after some of its locations in Somerset, such as Wellington Monument, in 2024.
From Brean Down to the Holnicote Estate in Exmoor National Park, the conservation charity looks after many much-loved destinations across the county.
It is now looking for people to care for them and welcome visitors.
From February 22 to 24, there will be a pop-up shop in Wellington town centre for anyone who is interested in leading tours at Wellington Monument.
Members can drop in from 10am to 4pm to find out more about volunteering at the tallest three-sided obelisk in the world.
On March 1 and 2, volunteer recruitment days are being held in the Music Hall at Fyne Court in Broomfield, near Bridgwater.
From gardening to events, visitors can drop in and learn how to get involved.
Jess Midgley, volunteering and community manager for the National Trust in Somerset, said: “Our places across the Somerset countryside offer some brilliant opportunities for volunteering from assisting our rangers with their nature conservation projects to welcoming visitors to our events.”
