A SUCCESSFUL salon near Bridgwater could be crowned the best in the south west at a prestigious awards ceremony.
The Hair Bar, found on Fore Street in North Petherton, has been shortlisted for the 'Best Hair Salon in South West' category at the 2024 English Hair and Beauty Awards.
Erin Casson, owner and director at The Hair Bar, said her team was 'over the moon' upon finding out they were up for the award.
"We're over the moon honestly," she said.
“It’s just given us such a boost.
“We were still buzzing from the last award, but to already be up for another is just amazing."
The team at the North Petherton salon won the county's Best Hair Salon Award at the English Business Awards held in Bristol on September 24, last year.
Since then, the business has only continued to progress, and its major focus on mental health has grown even stronger.
The Hair Bar now features a new, quiet area called the Snug, with only four chairs for those who prefer a more quiet, one-to-one experience.
The business runs under the ethos of 'time for yourself', and incorporates wellbeing into every treatment they offer.
Other factors which Erin believes set The Hair Bar apart from other salons include a team of fully employed staff, top-quality training from industry professionals, and a constant effort to keep up-to-date with clients' needs.

The winner of the award will be crowned at an awards ceremony at the Kents Hill Park in Milton Keynes on Sunday, April 21.
