BRIDGWATER Carnival will feature in a Channel 5 documentary set to air tomorrow night.
Our beloved carnival will be a focal point of Thursday, March 21's episode of Somerset: Wonder of the West Country, set to air at 8pm.
In the episode, crews visited Lime Kiln Carnival Club ahead of the 2023 carnival, to give viewers a unique insight into the amount of work which carnivalites put into preparation for the big day each year.
Dave Stokes, Publicity Director for Bridgwater Carnival, said: "This will be great publicity for our event, the town, our county carnivals, and Somerset as a whole, and we sincerely hope this signifies the start of more nationwide media coverage of our carnival.
"We have such a great story to tell."
Also featuring in the episode will be Frome’s independent market, Porlock Weir, oyster farmer Ian's new restaurant, the ‘swan whisperer’ in Wells, and a group of nature-lovers set off in search of one of Exmoor’s most stunning annual spectacles during the red deer rutting season.
