A FORMER salon in Bridgwater will soon become a new shop, as a new owner has taken over the premises.
Mr M Desai has taken on the 1 Raleigh House building, which used to be home to Hair Creations salon.
In a planning application submitted to Somerset Council, Mr Desai has asked permission to install a sign featuring his new shop's name, 'Basic Needs'.
Although the type of shop is not specified in the application, it is confirmed that the previous leaseholder's salon sign will be removed in the process, if plans are approved.
The new sign in particular will be comprised of blue text on a white background spanning six metres wide and 40cm tall.
The previous occupants of the premises, Hair Creations, completed a permanent move to The Base on Bower salon, in January this year.
A Facebook post from The Base on Bower said: "As from the start of December Sue, Machela and Sarah will be working at the salon on select days/hours ahead of their permanent move to the salon in January!
"We can’t wait to have them all here."
