THIS summer, a workshop will take place to give locals the chance to build their own ceramic figure as part of a massive exhibition.

Commissioned by Seed Sedgemoor, Bridget Hemmings (Project Lead) will be organising ceramics workshops in Bridgwater, Highbridge and surrounding villages as part of the group's Individuality Project.

The community workshops will allow locals the chance to make one of over 300 ceramic figures to be exhibited in Bridgwater later this year, which will eventually form a walking trail in Bridgwater and Highbridge planned for early 2025.

On Saturday, July 13, residents are again invited to Bridgwater Library from 10:30am to add to the growing number of figures.

To sign up, visit the EventBrite page or speak to a member of staff at the library.

Several of these workshops have already taken place across Highbridge and Bridgwater, with over 200 figures now already crafted by locals to the areas.

Speaking on a successful workshop held at Bridgwater Library last week, Bridget said: "We ran a workshop in the library last week and it really was amazing - so much creativity.

"We now have over 200 clay figures made in workshops in Bridgwater and Highbridge and have another workshop booked in Bridgwater Library."
