A SMALL strip of land in a residential area of Bridgwater with permission to build a new house already granted has gone on the market.

The land, described by the owner as a 'large side garden' adjacent to 1, The Green, is reportedly currently 'under used', and up for sale for £80,000.

Planning permission approved in April this year grants the prospective buyer to build a two-storey, three-bedroom detached house, with off-road parking and 'private amenity spaces which reflect the requirements of a family home'.

The parcel of land is currently owned by the applicant, who also owns the neighbouring property.

Despite being situated in an already built-up area, the applicant stated in the application that the new dwelling will not impact on nearby properties' visibility.

"The proposed dwelling will be sited so there are no issues that will relate to visibility or the overlooking of adjoining properties," they wrote.

"The proposed height and mass of the property will match that of the existing surrounding dwellings."

In addition to this, the house's roof will match the adjacent dwellings on Sunnybank, and the walls, roofs and windows will also be of a style that will suit the surrounding area.
