A COUNCIL team has removed rubbish and cleaned a park after an “unauthorised encampment”.
Bridgwater Town Council said the Open Spaces Operatives was in action in Victoria Park yesterday (Saturday, June 22).
Damaged bollards are being repaired, the council also added.
A spokesperson for the town council said: “Our Open Spaces Operatives have removed rubbish and cleaned Victoria Park following an unauthorised encampment.
“The damaged bollards are being repaired and we are carrying out further strengthening works to try to prevent this happening again.
“Thank you for your patience in being unable to use this open space while the appropriate processes were followed.”
