BRIDGWATER Library is looking forward to welcoming Sunday Times Top Ten Best Selling Author, Ben Kane, for a talk on Friday, July 12.

The talk, 'The Vikings in Ireland', will take place from 2pm until 3:30pm, and is based on the era of his latest book, Stormcrow.

Kane was born in Kenya whilst his dad was working out there as a veterinarian at the time, and describes himself as “a real animal lover” which is why he followed in his dad’s footsteps, and became a vet himself.

His books are inspired by his career as a vet and experiences raising a young family.

Kane’s new book, Stormcrow, is the first in an exciting and new series/

The story is based in Ireland, and includes lots of Irish history such as Vikings, Norsemen and longships.

Hopeful attendants are advised to book their places in advance, because although entry is free, tickets are expected to sell out.
