NEW findings have ranked the most expensive and cheapest roads to live on in Bridgwater.

The research compiled by Property Solvers used the average sold price data from HM Land Registry since 2019, across all Bridgwater postcodes.

Most expensive roads to live on in Bridgwater

Durleigh Road (TA6) ranked top of the list, as three properties sold for an average of £449,604.

Haygrove Road (TA6) came in second, with three properties selling for an average of £416,666.

Plum Lane (TA6) ranked third, and saw three properties sell for an average of £409,333.

The remainder of the list is as follows:

4. Northfield: Six sales at an average of £378,921.

5. Nicholls Close: Three sales at an average of £374,650.

6. Carver Close: Three sales at an average of £374,333.

7. Council Houses: Four sales at an average of £371,750.

8. Quantock Meadow: Four sales at an average of £370,250.

9. Durleigh Road: Five sales at an average of £366,300.

10. Cothelstone Close: Three sales at an average of £365,333.

Cheapest roads to live on in Bridgwater

Homecastle House, on Chandos Street, ranked the cheapest place to live in Bridgwater, with six sales since 2019 averaging out at a price of £59,083 per home.

St John Street followed as the second cheapest, with five sales at an average of £83,920.

Aspen Court, on Wembdon Road, ranked third, recording three sales at an average of £88,166.

The remainder of the list is as follows:

4. Silver Street: Four sales at an average of £96,000.

5. Friary Wall: Four sales at an average of £102,500.

6. Kings Court: Six sales at an average of £103,000.

7. Grebe Close: Three sales at an average of £104,500.

8. Queen Street: Eight sales at an average of £108,312.

9. Drakes Close: Seven sales at an average of £108.850.

10. Anson Way: 14 sales at an average of £109,250.

Commenting on the data, Property Solvers co-founder Ruban Selvanayagam, said: “To keep the data less skewed, we only ranked the streets that had over three sales.”  

“It’s therefore worth noting that, in recent years, a property on Durleigh Road (TA6) sold for £650,000 and, at the other end of the market, there were properties that sold for £50,000 and under on Homecastle House (TA6), Halswell Close (TA6), and Church Passage (TA6).”
