A charity football match being held at Bridgwater United’s Fairfax Park on Sunday (July 28) will raise vital funds for Meadow Ward at Williton Hospital.

This year’s annual charity match organised by CL Drylining managing director Chris Loynes will see Sydenham Rangers ladies team – which his company sponsors – take on a team he has put together.

Entry is free but there will be collection buckets for people to donate to the Meadow Ward.

Chairman Ian Davis has kindly offered Fairfax Park free of charge for the game. Ian has also offered to give up his time to cook the burgers in the cafe as well.

Chris urged people to come and support the event and help to raise funds.

He said: “Come along and support the excellent work that’s done at Meadow Ward in Williton Hospital our local stroke unit.

“The sun will be shining and the game will be played in high spirits and the beer will be cold.

“Lets pack the Park for this worthy event.”

Kick off is at 3pm.
